de Haas - van Alphen (dHvA) effect experiment

Dilution refrigerator (17T,20mK)
In order to observe heavy quasi-particle band, we use the dilution refregerator (down to) with superconducting magnet (up to 17 T).

Pick-up coil
dHvA oscillation is detected by a pick-up coil. The larger number of turn, the better we get signal. We usually use more than 10,000 turn coil, the picture is about 6,000 turn coil for pressure cell.

cantilever
Pick up coil method requires a large size of sample of about a few mm^3. In the case of a small sample of a few tens of micrometer, we can detect signals by the cantilever method.
